This policy applies to contestant application fees paid for MTPN Naija Icon registration and explains the fee amount, how payment is treated, why the fee is retained, and what acceptance of payment means for every applicant.
Fee
The platform generates a payment reference and treats the completed Paystack charge as the official proof of payment once confirmed. Payment is tied to the application process, not to a guaranteed qualification outcome.
Refund Position
Once an applicant completes payment, the registration fee is final and non-refundable. This applies whether an application is later approved, rejected, requires correction, misses a later stage, or does not progress beyond internal review.
Why It Matters
The fee supports payment processing, application intake, validation, scheduling, administrative review, communications handling, and the operational cost of running a controlled season intake window.
Acceptance
By submitting an application and completing payment, the contestant accepts this no-refund policy, the competition rules, and the operational right of MTPN to process the application under the published season framework.
The registration fee secures an applicant's place in the application review process. It does not buy a guaranteed audition slot, a guaranteed public profile, a guaranteed public voting place, or a guaranteed stage advancement result. It covers the administrative and operational handling of the application itself.
Even where a contestant is not selected, MTPN still incurs cost in processing the entry, confirming payment, reviewing data, handling communications, and maintaining the intake pipeline. The no-refund policy exists because the platform's registration work begins once the application and payment are submitted, not only when a contestant is approved.
Applicants should review the age rule, entry requirements, public competition structure, and payment-finality rule before completing registration. Payment should be treated as an intentional step taken with full awareness that the competition remains selective and progression is not automatic.
